Kilkenny Ladies Juvenile Footballers added another crown to their haul this year when they won the Leinster Under 16 ‘C’ Shield by beating Carlow at Tinryland by 5:6 to 3:10.

Kilkenny’s under 16 girls travelled to Askea to face Carlow in the first round of the Leinster football championship. Backboned by Thomastown’s winning Féile team of 2009 the Cats ran out convincing winners against a young Carlow side.
