This week, Shauna Bocquet of Craughwell AC heard the fantastic news that she was selected on the Irish team for the Paris Paralympic Games.
Galway schools excel at Tailteann Games
Conor Penney of Calasanctius College and Craughwell AC was outstanding. He smashed the Tailteann Games High Jump record with a huge 2.09 metre effort. Penney leaped up to 2.05 metres clearing all heights on his first attempt, and then set the record initially by jumping over at 2.07m and added further to it when clearing 2.09m on his second attempt for an amazing victory.
