As part of the national Understand Together campaign, FORUM Connemara, in partnership with Healthy Galway, Age Friendly Galway, the HSE, and the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland, is hosting an informative and welcoming community event aimed at promoting understanding and support for people living with dementia and other memory-related conditions.

Catherine Corless, the Tuam historian whose selfless work uncovered the abuses at the Mother and Baby Home in the town is to be honoured by NUI Galway next month when she will be conferred with an Honorary Degree at the 2018n Autumn Conferring.

A coffee morning will take place tomorrow (Friday) from 10.30am to 1pm at the Connemara Lake Hotel, Oughterard.
