Galway Schools Library Service has been given a vibrant and cheerful look by illustrator, artist and children’s book author Chris Judge. The project has given the once simple, grey exterior of the mobile library an updated look to inspire wonder and a love of reading, and to reflect the inner world of Galway County’s children.

Music for Galway’s 41st International Concert Season opens with a new initiative, the Galway Encore; the opening concert, scheduled for tonight Thursday September 29 at 8.00 pm at the Emily Anderson Concert Hall in the University of Galway, will also see a repeat performance in Christ Church in Portumna tomorrow, September 30 at the same time.
Back with Bach — Music for Galway announces 41st concert season
Music for Galway (MfG) is thrilled to announce what looks like the first season with audiences in attendance in three years. For its 41st International Concert Season 2022/23, artistic director Finghin Collins decided to put the focus on J.S. Bach: “Beethoven called him ‘the immortal god of harmony’ and it is no exaggeration to say that Bach has influenced every composer who followed him” says Mr Collins.
