Residents of two notorious rat runs on the east side of the city say they have had enough, and will stage protests tomorrow, Friday, November 28, during morning rush hour.

They say all politics is local, but in Renmore, councillors are at daggers drawn over a small strip of footpath.

The row stems from a statement issued by Councillor Shane Forde (FG), claiming that elected representatives across the east side of Galway have failed to sponsor public realm projects in their neighbourhoods, such as recent repairs to a footpath in Renmore.
