The sixth annual Galway Food Festival, which took place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, welcomed a record-breaking 80,000 visitors to Galway, with thousands attending the many in-house tasting events, food tours, food talks, the open air market at Fishmarket Square, Halla Bia at the former Connacht Tribune Print Works, and Breaking Bread on Easter Monday.

Galway Food Festival’s four-day extravaganza of events during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend will culminate with the spectacular outdoor community feast, Breaking Bread on Easter Monday, 17 April from 2pm to 5pm at Fishmarket Square, Spanish Arch, Galway.

One of the highlights of this year's Galway Food Festival will be the taste trail of Galway, involving tours and excursions around the city and county, including explorations of the history of wild salmon fishery in Galway, visiting a range of different restaurants, and collecting seaweed along Silverstrand.
