Councillors give approval for Galway’s bid for UNESCO City of Film

Galway’s bid to become an UNESCO City of Film is one step closer this week after councillors gave their full approval and support for the submission.

Script competition

Galway Film Centre is running a short script competition with RTÉ in early 2011, where two filmmakers will be awarded €10,000 to make their winning short script. In conjunction with this, the centre is running a six evening writing class, as well as information sessions and film screenings.
