Now in its seventh year, the 2018 Galway Food Festival will take place over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, from March 29 to April 2. The west's premier food festival celebrates the city and county’s culinary landscape, showcasing the people, produce, and passion that have firmly established Galway as the food capital of the west.

WITH THE May Bank Holiday Weekend coming hot on the heels of the Easter Bank Holiday, it will be another chance to dance, with leading Galway and Irish DJs taking over all floors of the Electric Garden and Theatre.

Galway Food Festival’s four-day extravaganza of events during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend will culminate with the spectacular outdoor community feast, Breaking Bread on Easter Monday, 17 April from 2pm to 5pm at Fishmarket Square, Spanish Arch, Galway.

The 2017 Galway Food Festival (to run April 13-17 April during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend) was launched on Monday in Caprice at Church Lane, Galway and it features a mouthwatering programme of events.

The sixth annual Galway Food Festival will take place over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend from the 13–17 April 2017. This year’s festival theme will celebrate the relationship between ‘Food and the Community’ through an innovative food programme of over 100 events, focusing on Galway’s 21st Century cultural identity through food. One such event will see the Festival collaborate with Slow Food Galway to present the ‘Grandmother’s Day Competition’, which takes place on Good Friday during the Festival.
