The Connacht Primary Schools Cross Country Finals were held on Saturday, October 18 at Bushfield in Loughrea across four races. There were close to 600 athletes competing from across the province and there were some notable Galway medallists in the course of events.

Day two of the Galway Cross Country championships was held in Tuam at the Palace Grounds last Sunday, with the Uneven Ages Juvenile races, and the Intermediate Men’s and Women’s Championships taking place.

The Galway Indoor Track and Field championships took place last weekend over two days, on Saturday and Sunday 25 and 26 January.
