Global technology leader SiteMinder opens sleek new office

Less than four months since announcing its entry into Ireland, the global hotel industry’s leading cloud platform, SiteMinder, opened its sleek new office in Galway as it gets set to reach its target of creating 100 jobs. The company, considered one of the top 20 technology pioneers to come out of Australia, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its waterfront office space in Dockgate with the Mayor of Galway City, Councillor Noel Larkin.

IT and network management software company Ipswitch has opened a permanent EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) centre of excellence at Citypoint, Prospect Hill. The permanent office locations signifies a substantial investment for the company and supports its EMEA growth strategy. Twelve research and development, sales and technical support team members will initially move in with a plan to increase headcount up to 60 in line with the positions announced last March.

One of France’s highest honours has been bestowed on an Irish-based technology expert. Professor Jean Christophe (JC) Desplat, Director of the Irish Centre for High End Computing (ICHEC), which is hosted by NUI Galway, has received the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques (Knight of the Order of Academic Palms).
