More than 50 hardy souls gathered in Donaghpatrick graveyard in Caherlistrane last week (April 17) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Achill’s Eva O’Flaherty, born just across the fields from her final resting place in Lisdonagh House in 1874.

But Breaffy pulled the Stephenites back in on both occasions to leave the game level at 1-11 to 0-14 at the end. Mayo minor Evan Regan was the main man for the north Mayo side, scoring 1-6 over the hour and caused the Breaffy defence a number of problems. Jim O’Shea and his management team will have been thinking hard all week what is the best way to counteract Regan’s threat tomorrow.

Breaffy GAA Club will host a GAA Cul Camp for boys and girls aged six to 13. The camp will run from Tuesday August 4 to Friday August 7 and costs €55 for the first child in a family and €40 for the second and subsequent children.
