The Croagh Patrick Pink Link Challenge will take place on Saturday, April 8. The main aim of this event is to form a human link from the bottom to the top of Croagh Patrick to raise awareness of cancer but also to symbolize solidarity for all the people and families affected by a cancer diagnosis. The chain will take approximately 3,000-4,000 people to be successful and anyone can take part and wear something pink to show support. The challenge is based on four different levels which makes it suitable for people of all fitness levels to take part.

Manulla were crowned Mayo League masters division one champions on Wednesday night last with a comprehensive win over already relegated Snugboro. The win completed a league double for the Manulla 7’s and Masters sides. Straide and Foxford United follow Snugboro down to division two next season after being beaten by Kiltimagh-Knock United who finished the season in second place.

Croí Friends Achill is once again gearing up for its annual monster whist drive and super raffle taking place on Pancake Tuesday, March 8, at 8pm in the Achill Sound Hotel.

Local heart charity Croí would like to thank everyone who contributed to the recent church gate collections in Ballyhaunis, Beckan, Brickens, Toureen, and Aughermore. A total of €2,208 was raised to help in the fight against heart disease.
