Corrib festival in pipeline for 2026

In the wake of successful riverine events across Galway city and county for Culture Night last month, organisers of Corrib Feile-FLOW are planning a larger lakeland festival to unite towns and villages across the entirety of Lough Corrib in 2026, with themes of culture, environment, recreation and education.

The Corrib’s mystery Island is the subject of the next in a series of lunchtime talks organised by Corrib Beo in collaboration with Galway City Museum. This talk at the Museum on Wednesday, February 26 will be delivered by archaeologist, Paul Naessens, and will treat with the eleventh century pre-Norman stone fortress on Iniscreamha Island, close to the east shore of the lake.

Who’s Who in the Corrib – Working together for Better Water Quality

On Saturday, September 2nd, an exciting and informative event is taking place — inspired by community concerns over the water quality in the Corrib Catchment. Several groups, including the Ballindiff Bay Angling Club, Corrib Beo, Corrib Mask Carra Water Protection Group, East Corrib Alliance, and Tuatha of Terryland Forest Park, have been working together to plan a day of action and collaboration.
