THERE CANNOT be many plays which revolve around the Honda 50 but Seamus O’Rourke’s hit comedy-drama Ride On! does and it’s revving up for a visit to the Town Hall Theatre next week.

Prosperous Dramatic Society will have the honour of opening the 60th RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival when the curtain rises at the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone on Thursday May 3. With their production of Deadline by Robert Massey, the group hopes to follow on from their success at the event last year where they finished as runners-up.

The 2009 Roscommon Drama Festival is gearing up to be another unmissable event with nine nights of fantastic drama and competition kicking off on Friday March 6 in Roscommon Arts Centre.
