The award-winning Climate Inspirations Festival 2026, a landmark celebration of creativity, innovation, and community action in response to the climate crisis, will take place from 24-28 June 2026 in various venues throughout Galway City. It brings together artists, scientists, council staff, and local communities to explore how storytelling and culture can accelerate climate solutions.

Galway City Council’s award-winning Climate Inspirations Festival will return to the city with brand new dates- Wednesday, 24 June to Sunday, 28 June 2026, bringing five days of creative, community-led events focused on climate action, sustainability and positive change.

Galway City Council took home the prestigious ‘Festival of the Year’ Award at the 2025 Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards, announced at a national ceremony. The ‘Galway Climate Inspirations Festival – Communities in Action’ festival beat off stiff competition from the Dublin City Sensoria Festival, Howth Maritime and Seafood Festival, Brigid - Spirit of Kildare Festival, Willie Clancy Traditional Music Summer School and Kilkenny’s Toil and Trouble to bring the award home to Galway City.
