Communities - and particularly coastal communities across Mayo - are being encouraged to have their say on a new draft national offshore renewable energy development plan which is designed to ensure that offshore technologies are set-up in the optimal locations in Irish seas.

It is quite ironic that for a city so perched on the western edge of Europe that in economic terms we have spent such little time in actually looking out to sea.
