CREW (Creative Enterprise West) has announced Michaela Murphy of Iguaion Media as the winner of the judge’s prize for best overall pitch at the Creative Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development (CEED) Programme Showcase.

Two student films by graduates of the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Animation and Game Design programme have been selected to showcase at the International Trickfilm Festival of Animation, Stuttgart, which runs from 23 to 28 April.

The annual ATU Department of Creative Arts and Media exhibition of students’ work from of the art, design, film, and documentary undergraduate programmes will be formally opened by Lelia Doolan tomorrow, Friday, June 2, at 2pm in the Wellpark Road, Galway city campus.

GMIT’s School of Design & Creative Arts will host a series of public talks each Tuesday during March on the subject of “Creativity” marking the commencement of the institute’s Golden Jubilee celebrations ahead of becoming Atlantic Technological University (on 1 April). The talks will take place in Room 104 at 5.30pm at GMIT Centre for Creative Arts & Media on Wellpark Road, covering topics from Community Outreach, Design Process & Practice to Performance and the Visual Arts, delivered by GMIT lecturers.
