Hotting up in the camogie championships

It was another busy weekend in the Senior A, B and Intermediate camogie championships. In the Senior A competition, Carnmore and St Thomas recorded their first victories of the championship while Athenry and Sarsfields continued their unbeaten run. In the Senior B contest, Kinvara and Shamrocks had to split the spoils while Mountbellew recorded their first win in the seniors ranks. There were also wins for Clarinbridge and Castlegar. Finally in the Intermediate championship, there were victories for Ahascragh Caltra, Killimor and St Colmans while Cappataggle and Abbeyknockmoy had to share the points.

Mayo Sports Partnership wins inclusion award

Throughout 2020, Cara - the national body for Sports Inclusion - has been successfully piloting the Xcessible Local Sports Partnership (LSP) / National Governing Body (NGB) Bronze Award with the following seven organisations; Basketball Ireland, Swim Ireland, Badminton Ireland, Cycling Ireland, Mayo Sports Partnership, Clare Sports Partnership and Kildare Sports Partnership.
Curves Galway grand opening
It was by chance Catherine Walding realised Curves was not in Galway. She was searching for Curves for her daughter Cara, who is doing a business degree in Galway and was looking to join a gym. "Cara had been to curves with me while in transition year and had thoroughly enjoyed it," Catherine Walding said. "The rest is history as they say."
