Celebrate Breton culture at Mini Brittany Fest

The Galway Lorient Twinning committee is delighted to present the Mini Brittany Fest 2022 next week with a programme that includes a range of events and activities to celebrate the Celtic connections and friendships shared since 1975 when the twinning was first established and signed between Mairie de Lorient and Galway City Council.

The President Michael D Higgins will travel to Galway in September to launch a weekend of celebratory events to mark the 40th anniversary of Galway's twinning with Lorient. The French Ambassador to Ireland Jean-Pierre Thébault will also be in attendance on Friday September 18.
