The Dunmore Amateur Dramatic Society is cleaning up at competitive theatre festivals around Ireland with performances of Brian Friel’s ‘Faith Healer’ to be showcased in Galway’s Townhall Theatre next week.

Dunmore Amateur Dramatic Society (DADS) is bringing Brian Friel’s Faith Healer to the historic Mick Lally Theatre, on Druid Lane, tonight, and nightly until this Sunday.

Siobhán Giollamhuire McKenna was born on May 24, 1922, a second daughter to Eoghan McKenna and Gretta O’Reilly, Nancy being her older sister. She was educated in Belfast, in Taylor’s Hill Convent and then after a year out sick with glandular fever, as a boarder in St Louis Convent, Monaghan.
