A bluegrass music legend from the US is set to perform at the Ballina Arts Centre this February.

On Friday September 21, locals and visitors to Mayo will enjoy the special experience of Culture Night, a free night of cultural exploration and excitement in 22 venues across the county. Museums, galleries, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural groups will keep their doors open late into the evening welcoming people of all ages to taste and sample their cultural delights for free on the evening.

For the first time a theatre company will be taking up the post of Artists in Residence in Kilkenny Co Council Arts Office. Kilkenny group The Devious Theatre Company were delighted to be invited by Arts Officer Mary Butler to take up residency in the Arts Office. The group will be working in No 76 John Street until July.
