One night for all — as city marks culture night

Galway City Culture Night takes place on Friday 23 September. Galway City will host over 50 events with 200 artists participating in a diverse programme of visual arts, music, film and storytelling.

AWARD WINNING Galway arts collective AKIN opens the autumn programme at the Galway Arts Centre with a new show, Furthermore, which is launched tomorrow evening [Friday September 6] at 6pm, and runs until October 5.

The work of Galway based artist Briane Bourke, an elected member of Aosdana and one of Ireland’s most accomplished and well regarded artists are found in the most important collections in Ireland and overseas and now have pride of place in the reception lobby of the Galway owned Brooks Hotel at Drury Street in Dublin 2.

ASLAN, MÁIRTÍN O’Connor, Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny, the poet Paul Durcan, award winning comedian Danny O’Brien, and Irish artist Brian Maguire are all performing at the Clifden Arts Festival, which this year, will explore the theme of 'Home'.
