The Innovation in Business Centre, Castlebar, will host an interactive open day on Wednesday June 5 on how to enter the US market. There will also be opportunities to talk to the local State enterprise support agencies, as well as sessions facilitated by IiBC clients focusing on attracting investment, setting up an online business, aquaculture, and reducing costs with lean solutions.

More than 200 jobs have been created by client companies of the Innovation in Business Centres (IiBC) in GMIT Castlebar and Galway with some 90 being created in Mayo since the Innovation in Business Centre (IiBC) at GMIT Castlebar opened its doors six years ago (2006). The IiBC at GMIT offers desk space, office space, and virtual space to new start-up companies and also runs enterprise programmes funded by various enterprise agencies.

New opportunities for start-ups and existing businesses in Mayo and the west region were outlined at the annual Spirit of Entrepreneurship event in GMIT Castlebar last Monday.
