NUI Galway’s annual Adult Learners Information Evening will take place online on Wednesday 23rd June from 7-8.30pm.

NUI Galway will hold an information evening next week focusing on the needs of mature students and adult learners who may be considering full-time or part-time studies for the 2020 academic year. The evening will take place on Wednesday, January 15, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm in the Institute for Lifecourse and Society on NUI Galway’s north campus.

NUI Galway is hosting a Mature Students Open Evening on Thursday, 15 January at 6pm in the Aula Maxima, Quadrangle. The open evening is an opportunity to find out more about courses on offer, entry requirements, CAO application procedure, mature scholarships and practical student supports within the University.  

An information evening for students considering part-time study options is being held in the Orbsen Building on the NUIG campus from 5pm-7:30pm on May 13.

Volunteer literacy tutors are needed to provide one-to-one tuition, with an awareness event for volunteers and learners taking place on February 3 from 2pm to 4pm at the Further Education Centre (Friary) Ballyhaunis.

Market research conducted by Atlantic College when designing its part-time course programme shows that the needs of adult learners are changing rapidly. Learners now require short, sharp, skills-focused courses that are accredited by trusted organisations. These skills may then be used to immediate effect as employment currency.
