St Anthony’s is a co-educational special school in Castlebar providing primary and post-primary education for children between the ages of four and 18 years who have mild general learning difficulties. St Anthony’s also caters for children who may have additional difficulties such as autism, assessed syndromes, visual or hearing impairment, physical disability, or ADHD.

St Anthony’s Special School in Castlebar is continually striving to improve the options available for learners with special needs and last year, 2011, all teachers received training in the implementation of the ASDAN Awards Programmes in the school.
