There is no better way to beat the New Year blues than by planning a getaway for 2009.
Whether it’s a weekend break in Ireland or a sun-seeker’s holiday in the Mediterranean, the best place to start is at MacDonagh Junction’s special 2009 Travel Fair, which will take place on Sunday January 18 between 12pm – 5.30pm.
A wide range of travel experts will be present to offer advice and answer questions from attendees on their holiday plans for 2009.
Representatives from national and local travel agents, as well as hotels and tourist attractions will also be on hand.
There will also be special competitions for attendees to enter, including the chance to win a weekend at one of the Tower Group’s hotels, and a competition for a stay in the recently-refurbished Whites Hotel, Wexford.
Confirmed exhibitors include: Manning Travel, Kilkenny, Falcon Travel, Kilkenny, Budget Travel, Kilkenny, Marble City Travel, Kilkenny, Tower Hotel Group, Whites Hotel, Wexford, Castlecomer Discovery Park, Kilkenny, Reptile Village, Co Kilkenny, and Wicklow Tourism.
Donie Butler, centre manager at MacDonagh Junction, commented, “What better way to help brighten up the cold and dull January days than to start thinking about escaping to the sun, or taking a relaxing weekend break?”
“Following on from the very popular series of recent promotions at MacDonagh Junction, we’re delighted to welcome a wide range of travel experts to the centre on Sunday January 18, between 12pm and 5.30pm. All holiday enquiries will be catered for, so we invite everyone to come down and find out more about their options for a getaway during 2009”.
“We are also pleased to report continued strong footfall in the centre over the Christmas and post-Christmas sales period. The centre’s retailers have reported dramatically increased footfall figures from last year’s figures, reflecting the increased range of retail offerings at MacDonagh Junction, as well as the opening of the Bowling Centre and other leisure facilities
