Local ladies from the Callan and Muckalee ladies football teams will feature on RTÉ’s ‘Road to Croker’ programme tonight.
The girls travelled to Nantes, France in June this year and took part in a seven-a-side beach gaelic football tournament and RTÉ went along to film them.
Tonight’s show will feature the girls training and competing in the tournament as well as interviews. The team was made up of Kilkenny Advertiser and Carlow First sports editor Angela Doyle and her team-mates, Martina Maher, Kiara Komar, Becky Drennan, Fiona Kutay, Sharon and Mary Shelly and Niamh Maher. ‘Road to Croker’ is on at 8pm.
