Special youth celebrations will be held in a number of parishes throughout the diocese of Ossory.
As part of an initiative by the Ossory Forum, groups of parishes have come together in clusters with one parish in each cluster hosting the youth liturgies.
The initiative begins this weekend in five parishes beginning with Mass in St John’s church at 6.30pm on Saturday. St Patrick’s in Kilkenny city join with Danesfort with a youth Mass in St Patrick’s church on Sunday at 12.30pm. St Mary’s and St Canice’s join together for a Mass in St Mary’s Cathedral at 5.30 on Sunday evening.
Youth centered liturgies are also being planned at a later stage for other parishes including Johnstown, Ballycallan and Borris-in-Ossory.
