Open meeting to discuss concerns of the public

The Kilkenny City Joint Public Policing Committee will hold a public meeting for the people of Kilkenny on Thursday February 2.

The meeting will take place in the Club House Hotel, Patrick Street, from 7.15pm to 8.45pm.

This meeting will interest anyone who is concerned about the policing of Kilkenny city. Topics such as crime, drugs, public order, community engagement and road safety may be discussed, or anything else which is of public concern. Members of the public are urged to attend and express opinions and put questions to the committee.

Queries should be submitted in writing to the secretary of the JPC before January 27, by post or e-mail, and must include the name and address of the sender, however this will be kept completely confidential. The meeting will be a good opportunity for the public to air their views and concerns about certain matters in County Kilkenny.

The public are advised that in some cases some information may not be disclosed on certain cases, ie, if a case relates to an individual and if the information has been received in confidence to the Gardai or the local authority.
