No need to go elsewhere for local produce

If you are looking for a shop that stocks a wide selection of local produce, gourmet foods, fruit and vegetables and wines then the newly opened Nellie’s Farm shop on Upper Patrick Street is worth checking out.

Situated in Young Landrover's former location, the new gourmet food outlet extends to over 1,000 square feet with half of the space dedicated to stocking a wide range of locally sourced and very competitively priced fruit and vegetables.

Nellie’s Farm shop also stocks a beautiful selection of home-made breads and confectionary that are unique to the store as well as a range of home-grown products including chutneys, jellies, jams, farmhouse butter, farmhouse cream, dried cured meats and free range eggs.

You will also find a good selection of organic foods, pastas and sauces and a small section of wines that includes an organic French wine and other wines from France, Spain, Chile and the US.

Manager of the store, Lar Doyle is delighted with the response the store has received from the public since opening its doors on Friday.

“We are in a key location and have received a lot of local support and good wishes and already have a number of repeat customers. In addition, the fact that we have ample parking for up to 20 cars will be of huge benefit to customers,” said Mr Doyle.

The newly opened store will also be selling Christmas trees and wreaths as well as locally sourced fresh turkeys and hams over the coming weeks.
