Mount Carmel House is holding a fundraiser and open day today (Friday ) at 2pm.
The Liam MacCarthy cup will be visiting, along with some of the Kilkenny players. There will be entertainment and refreshments, as well a monster raffle.
The residents have been really looking forward to the day, especially one 100-year-old lady. Her brother played hurling for Kilkenny many moons ago.
Mount Carmel House is a supported care home offering residential care, day-care facilities and meals to older people in the community.
