Greenstar Recycling Centre is conveniently located in the Hebron Industrial estate next to Top Oil.
Greenstar accepts all household waste and recycling and householders are welcome to take in bags, car trailers/trucks, etc. Greenstar also offers a skip service throughout the county for household clear outs, at the lowest prices.
The needs of commercial business are also met with services that include collection and materials recovery, prevention and minimisation, re-use, on-site recycling and composting, along with site audits and reporting.
Greenstar Kilkenny is now offering a new service to all household customers. GTI, or glass textiles included, means customers can now put all unwanted glass bottles/jars into the recycling bin provided, plus old clothing can also be put in the recycling bin which means no build up of glass in the garage and no more trips to the bottle or clothing banks.
Also a charitable donation will be made to the Good Shepherd Kilkenny for all clothing collected in recycling bins.
Greenstar is running a special offer to all new and returning customers. A family bin costs €199 for one year (240ltr waste bin and 240ltr recycling bin ). A smaller bin costs €169 a year (140ltr waste bin and 240ltr recycling bin ).
The Greenstar site in Kilkenny employs 19 people locally and has been operating in Kilkenny for the last six years, however Greenstar employs 670 people nationwide.
