Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government Phil Hogan opened a new training centre on behalf of PW Thermal Building Solutions in Urlingford.
This newly improved state of the art training centre was built by PW Thermal Building Solutions to ensure that it offers high quality on-site training to contractors from across the country in external insulation products.
The new centre will offer contractors a one-stop centre for information and guidance on the heating, insulation, and ventilation of homes.
And PW Thermal will be offering contractor training free of charge at the training centre until the end of 2011.
PW Thermal Building Solutions currently has 10 direct employees in Urlingford, and indirectly employs approximately 165 people, through 25 contractors nationwide, who fit its external insulation systems.
With the new training centre the company is hoping to increase direct employees in Urlingford by 10-15 people and employ a further 150 people nationwide through their contractors.
PW Thermal Building Solutions was formed in 2009 by the Sherling family to launch the Powerwall spaceframe building systems. In the same year Powerwall expanded to enter the retrofit market in Ireland and has now been supplying insulation and renders to the UK and Ireland for more than 30 years. PW Thermal Building Solutions has insulated more than 450 homes in Ireland in the two years it has been in operation.
