Three Kilkenny primary schools on the north side of the city were targeted by thieves last week.
The Model School on the Castlecomer Road, Clintstown National School, and Ballyragget National School were all broken into on Sunday night or the early hours of Monday morning.
Classes were disrupted for pupils as gardaí assessed the damage at the premises.
It is not known if valuables were taken in the incidents and gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
Cllr Catherine Connery whose family would all have attended Clintstown National School, said that it was shocking that three small schools had been targeted in such a manner and she asked anyone with information to speak to the gardaí.
