The recently established Kilkenny Triathlon Club has been shortlisted as a finalist at the Irish Web Awards in the Best Sports website category.
The club, which was established in January, currently has more than 100 members who train and compete together at the various triathlon events which take place around the country.
Website manager for Kilkenny Triathlon Club, Ray Lonergan, said the club was delighted with the nomination.
“We are absolutely delighted to be nominated for the awards, especially since we are still only in our first year as a club.
“Our members had some great results during the year and this nomination is another great achievement to add to the list of podium finishes and personal bests,” he added.
The other finalists in the category include last year’s winner www.irishprocycling, as well as a number of other very well established websites including: www.thescore.ie, www.sportsnewsireland.com, and www.gaa.ie
The Irish web awards will take place on October 22, at the Mansion House in Dublin.
