A table quiz in aid of Action Breast Cancer (ABC ) will take in Bollard’s Pub on Friday October 14, at 9.30pm.
All funds raised on the night will go directly to the Irish Cancer Society.
Teams of four will cost just €20 per table and there will be a raffle on the night. Everyone attending is encouraged to wear pink on the night, with “Pinkest Person” prize up for grabs.
Most recent data from the National Cancer Registry shows that 547 people were diagnosed with cancer in Kilkenny in 2009, 47 of these were breast cancer cases. Cancer will affect one in three people during the course of their lifetime, however more people are surviving cancer due to more people being diagnosed at an earlier stage and advances in treatment. It is a very good cause and support is greatly appreciated.
