The Galway Ensemble in residence, contempo quartet kicks off its mini tour this September 28, at Rothe House in Kilkenny.
ConTempo will be joined by Kilkenny guitarist Alec O’Leary for a series of concerts beginning at the historic Rothe House in Kilkenny’s city centre. The evening begins with a pre-concert talk led by the artists and a reception at 7pm. The concert begins at 8pm.
The programme features some of the finest works for guitar and strings from tangos to fandangos, all delivered with the integrity of a well-polished ensemble. Music by Joaquin Turina, Antonio Vivaldi, Fernando Sor, Roland Dyens, Astor Piazzolla and more.
