The 2008 camogie All-stars were named on Saturday night at a banquet in the City West, Hotel. All-Ireland champions Cork gained seven awards on the night. While Kilkenny’s Aoife Neary made the forward line in this years All Star camogie team.
Liam Dunne and Stephen Dormer were awarded with the O'Neills manager of the year All-star following their continued success with the Kilkenny underage set-up.
Dunne and Dormer have helped Kilkenny in their success at underage level, they led the Cats to their fourth consecutive All-Ireland U16 A title in May.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Liz Howard, President of the Camogie Association, said 'I want to congratulate the 2008 All Star recipients. Their commitment, skill and contribution to the game during 2008 was phenomenal.
'2008 was a great year for camogie, and it is important that we recognise the contribution of our top players.'
