A Kilkenny woman was the big winner on last week’s Big Money Game. The winning ticket was bought in Rath's Foodmarket, Pollerton Road, Co Carlow.
The 12th show of the National Lottery’s Summer TV Gameshow ‘The Big Money Game’, hosted by Derek Mooney, took place in RTÉ Studios last Saturday, August 20 with five players from Kilkenny, Waterford, Clare, Dublin and Laois. The overall prize pot was €177,000 with the biggest winner on the night being Mary Dormer from Clogh in north Kilkenny, who won prizes to the value of €57,000.
The National Lottery’s ‘Big Money’ Scratch Card offers players the chance to win instant prizes up to €100,000. Five players will be selected each week to appear on The Big Money Game TV Gameshow and have the chance to win holidays, cars and up to €250,000 in cash.
The Big Money Scratch Card also offers players the opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New York City. To be in with a chance to win this super prize, players must collect the letters B-I-G from the stubs on Big Money Scratch Cards.
Each week three winners will be selected from all B-I-G entries to travel with their guest to the Big Apple.
The Big Money Game TV Gameshow is based solely on chance and there is no skill involved. To enter, players must submit a 3-star ticket in one of the special 3-star envelopes, which are available from all National Lottery Agents.
Each Thursday in National Lottery offices, one hundred 3-star entries are drawn randomly in a preliminary draw that takes place under strict security controls. From these 100 entries the five players for the following show are drawn each week live on The Big Money Game TV Gameshow.
