Sowing seeds for the future

Three Kilkenny clubs are in the process of putting the finishing touches to their new playing fields.

City clubs O’ Loughlin Gaels and James Stephens are ready to sow the grass seeds on their new pitches, as they expand their facilities for the next generation of hurlers.

The two clubs, along with their city neighbours, Dicksboro, are to be congratulated for providing such top class amenities on a totally voluntary basis.

Four miles out the road, Danesfort GAA club have almost completed phase one of their ambitious development. The new pitch is ready to settle for Autumn and Winter before it becomes a hive of activity next Summer.

These three voluntary sports clubs are securing their future and enhancing their communities, and deserve to be saluted and supported.
