Sean Kelly (RIP )
This weekend the athletics community in Kilkenny was shocked and saddened to learn of the untimely passing of Sean Kelly, treasurer of the County Athletics Board, after a short illness.
Sean was a member of Kilkenny City Harriers and was active in the organisation and promotion of athletics within the county. His work and input were highly valued by all and he will be greatly missed by all his friends in athletics.
Sean had been an officer in the club and over the last decade presided over a number of major club achievements and developments including the recent provision of a club room at Scanlon Park.
Our deepest sympathy goes to his wife Frances and daughters Caroline, Simone and Allyson. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
