Dog days of summer

The 4th Annual Dog Days of Summer event takes place at the Studio from July 21 to 23 July 2011. This year the event will support Inistioge Puppy Rescue and Irish Cavalier Rescue.

Three fun-filled days when dogs of all shapes and sizes will visit our studio with their owners.

“I love working with dogs as they are always happy and willing to please and I love capturing their original expressions for their owners” says Maria.

“Many people say ‘my dog won’t sit like the dogs you have on display at the studio’, but we understand that most dogs only sit for split seconds at a time so that’s when we photograph them,” she added.

Dog Days of Summer has raised €1,177 for Irish Cavalier Rescue and €1,200 for Inistioge Puppy Rescue. Through calendar projects and Christmas cards, they have raised over €15,000 for Pet Charities.

Set up 20 years ago by Brenda Stone, this year’s charity, Inistioge Puppy Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue organisation based in Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny. Puppy Rescue is a home run organisation managed by Brenda Stone with the invaluable help of Billy Roche. The aim of the organisation is to protect against and prevent animal cruelty and abandonment. They provide temporary care for many pound dogs, as well as other unwanted pets, until such time as the animals can be suitably re-homed. They have a strict no-kill policy.

For a €20 Donation Maria will photograph your dog(s ). The donation covers the portrait session time only (normally €60 ). You may then buy your pet portrait from the Boutique Portrait Collection or the A la Carte Price list.

A wonderful opportunity to support very worthy causes and have your pet’s portrait taken by Maria who is IPPA Pet Photographer of the Year 2011.
