O'Loughlin’s camogie girls reach county final

The O'Loughlin's u14 camogie girls played the Rower Inistioge on Sunday last in the county semi final in a very wet Inistioge. The girls won on a score line of 4-6 to 0-0.

The girls will now play the winners of Kilmacow and The Emeralds on Friday, July 1 (same night as the club's greyhound fundraiser ). Well done to all the girls and their managers Sarah Buckley and John Claffey.

Team: Caoimhe Treacy, Rachel Lenehan, Chloe Tyrrell, Alice Nolan (capt ), Aine Coogan, Laura Murphy (1-1 ), Grainne Walsh, Saoirse Claffey, Laura Greene (2-2 ), Aoife Whelan, Kelly Dowd, Aoife McKiernan (1-0 ), Rosa Delaney, Bronagh Cleere (1-3 ), Rachel Leydon, Shauna Conory, Brianna Mallon, Laura Ryan.

Under 14 hurlers on top of the league

After another convincing victory this time over John Lockes of Callan, O'Loughlin Gaels moved to the top of the under 14 league table.

After an even enough first half where only five points separated the teams at half time (1-10 1-5 ), O'Loughlin's moved up a gear and ran out clear winners on a 2-19 to 1-6 scoreline.

This was a very good team display once again. Lots of excellent individual efforts from Daniel O’Connor, Robbie Buckley, Cian Loy, Gary Bryan, Jack Lawlor, Thomas Gleeson and Shane Fahy.

There are only two weeks now until these boys head for the national Féile na nGaels final in Galway.

Dog night tickets are now on sale

The annual O'Loughlin Gaels fundraiser "a night at Kilkenny Greyhound track" will take place on Friday July 1. Tickets are €10 and are available from every O'Loughlin Gaels club member.
