Thomastown and East end are gr-eight

East End ladies romped to a landslide 8-0 thumping over Bagenalstown as Jenny Brennan scored a hat-trick.

Aisling Brennan added a brace along with Michelle Murphy, while Laura Dooley completed the scoring as the Bennettsbridge ladies made it 13 points from five matches.

Thomastown matched their near neighbours in the goal-scoring stakes as they trounced Callan United by eight goals without reply.

Grace Brennan and Niamh Bolger accounted for a brace each, while Sarah Walsh, Shauna Carroll, Aine Lannon and Sammie Wills were also amongst the goalscorers as the defending league champions have made a 100 per cent start from three games.

Defending cup champions Tullaroan are laying their credentials as league contenders following a 4-1 victory at home to Bridge United, while the Southend ladies in their debut season in the ladies league defeated Freshford Town 3-0.
