Fourteen young boys and girls from Kilkenny College were presented their certificates on completion on Thursday May 19 at the final session of the Youth Leadership Program, sponsored by the Kilkenny Toastmasters Club.
Those completing the course in oral communication and leadership training were George Coyle, Dara Bulfin, Hannah Stokes, Alex Thompson, Dylan Kerr, Rachel Orr, Anna Case, Cailean Coffey, Tom Jackson, Jonathan Kidd, Dougie Power, Andrew Fairbrother, David Ola and Mike Purcell.
The Youth Leadership Program was developed especially for young people by Toastmasters International, the world-wide public speaking organisation. It was adapted from the organisation’s adult program which has benefited from than three million people since it was introduced in 1924.
