A young man who jumped on the bonnet of a car while intoxicated was fined €400 for his drunken behaviour in the court recently.
Ronan Minchin, 22 Royal Oak Road, Muine Bheag pleaded guilty to the offence which took place at High Street, Kilkenny on October 7.
The court heard that the defendant was very intoxicated on the day in question and jumped on the bonnet of a passing car.
Solicitor for the defendant Michael Lanigan told the court that his client was very sorry and very ashamed of his actions. A letter of apology and compensation to the sum of €1,000 have also been given to the driver of the vehicle.
