The Kilkenny school of yoga is moving from its present location above Paris Texas on High St to beautiful new studios at 5 Irishtown.
The school will continue to offer all styles of yoga and pilates but now in bigger studios with better facilities including showers, changing facilities, treatment rooms and with maple floors and high ceilings throughout. There is something on the timetable for everybody, from those of retirement age down, including gentle classes for people with very little flexibility and rehabilitation yoga to classes that “really get you fit”
This term, the school is offering yogalates, vinyasa yoga and hatha yoga and children's yoga with Essie. Hatha yoga and yoga for stress management with Aine Finnerty, pregnancy and mother and baby yoga with Roslyn Molloy, ashtanga yoga with Sadhbh Oneill, restorative yoga with Nicolas Nellison and pilates with Catherine Bourke.
There are also lots of interesting workshops and courses coming up including a whole series of events for mothers to be and those with preschoolers. This programme includes preparing for birth workshops, baby massage classes, a meat the doula day and gentle yoga for postnatal recovery.
The school has proven that when it comes to yoga the team approach works. Before coming to class for the first time you talk to a fully qualified teacher (over the phone or in person ) who will help you understand the different classes on offer. After this you will be booked in for a no-obligation trial class where you can take part in the class and see if it suits you. Only once you are totally happy do you then enroll for a term of classes. Essie, who runs the school says “this is good news for the people of Kilkenny. I am delighted with the popularity of the school and put it down to 3 things. Firstly we listen to our clients needs and tailor-make our classes to suit them. Secondly we have excellent, fully-qualified experienced teachers who are passionate about their work and thirdly, we keep class sizes small so everyone gets the personal attention they need to maximize results”.
The school offers a non-competitive, fun, friendly environment that is welcoming to everyone. If you are interested in improving your health and would like to discuss you options with one of the team you can phone them on(056 ) 7756570 or on 087 6609654.
