Volunteer for Holly Day with the ISPCC

The ISPCC are calling on people to register to take part in the National Holly Day campaign in Carlow and Kilkenny.

The campaign takes place from mid November to December 25, as part of the ISPCC Christmas Appeal.

Volunteering for the ISPCC is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends and have fun while making a huge difference to the lives of the children who rely on our services. People may not be aware that the collection of €10 will help a child in the following ways:

Provide two childline phone sessions with a child.

Provide half a month of web counselling sessions.

Help purchase materials for a life story book and,

Help purchase art material for therapeutic work with children

If you have an hour to spare, you can donate your time by getting involved in one of the following areas:

Assist in the co-ordination of a holly campaign in your town/village

Give 1 hour to man an area in your town/village

Place a box of holly in your local shop, business or school or,

Host a holly morning/evening in your home, business or school.

Encourage your employers and colleagues to donate 1 hour to collect within your company " The Holly Hour for the ISPCC - €2 from your wage packet.”
