Tonight is the grand finale of Frank McGuinness’ Factory Girls which takes place in Cleeres Theatre on Parliament Street at 8pm

This play which was written by Donegal-born and award winning playwright and poet Frank McGuinness and it tells the story of five women facing the threat of redundancy Ellen (Sinead O’Sullivan ) Una (Doris Long ) Vera (Jacinta Cullen ) Rebecca (Marie Hughes ) and Rosemary ( Roisin O'Neill ) who stage a lock-in, in a shirt factory in Co Donegal.

The factory manager Mr Rohan is played by Aidan Clancy and the role of Andy Bonner a trade union official is played by Andy Rice.

As their protest continues the women learn more about each other and themselves as they explore their anger, courage and compassion.

Kats Theatre Group will be making a donation from proceeds to Ceart Patientwise in Callan and to Grow.

Admission is €10, doors open at 7.45pm tonight.
