Run for fun and a good cause

The second run of the Stoneyford 10km Challenge will take place later this month on Sunday, May 22.

The event is an initiative of the Stoneyford Parents Association and was born out of a need to raise money for Scoil Náisiúnta Chiaráin Naofa, a local primary school. This year, a number of charities and clubs have already signed up to run/walk the Stoneyford 10km Challenge. These include the Carlow-Kilkenny Home Care, Crumlin Children’s Hospital, as well as local schools such as Thomastown and Dunamaggin National Schools.

While Scoil Náisiúnta Chiaráin Naofa will directly benefit from the race entries, the event provides a fun and healthy platform for the other clubs and charities to raise much needed money for their own causes also.
